404 Error

The House Appropriations Sub-Committee on Education & Economic Development is having a public meeting at which decisions will be agreed upon for recommendations to be made about the Governor's proposed budget for fiscal year 2011 (which begins on July 1, 2010). These recommendations will be given to the full House Appropriations Committee, and from there to the full House of Delegates, before voting on the budget bill occurs in early April.

One of the many items which will be discussed and decided upon is the budget for the Departmant of Business and Economic Development, which includes the appropriation amount for the Maryland State Arts Council. The public is not given a chance to speak at these meetings (we do speak out at the Public Hearing, which was held on Feburary 24th), but is permitted to attend and listen to the proceedings.

The deadline date by which the 2011 budget bill will be passed through both the Senate and the House of Representatives.
