Presenter: Lisa Danaczko

Lisa R. Danaczko is a dynamic storyteller and engagement strategist. After a 15-year career building communities of champions for arts, culture, and education nonprofits, she launched in 2025 “L. Rose Creative,” a consulting practice to help social impact professionals energize stakeholders with community stories.

Authentic relationship building grounds Lisa’s approach to external relations. From shepherding partners and funders through major changes at national nonprofits (Forum for Youth Investment and BellXcel) and launching community initiatives for anchor institutions (The Johns Hopkins Carey Business School and School of Education), to coaching start-up and small-shop social enterprises on reaching cross-sector and intergenerational audiences, she takes the time to understand individuals’ core motivations and amplify their community’s unique assets.

Her passion for community engagement grew when Lisa moved to Baltimore in 2010 and taught photography to young people at Wide Angle Youth Media. Since then, she has proudly served this community of creatives as a guest artist, ambassador, and former member of the Board of Directors, including a term as Board President.

Lisa holds a M.A. in Writing from the Johns Hopkins University and B.A. in Art History and Creative Writing from Columbia University. She bloomed as a writer and visual artist, specializing in photography, in her hometown of Houston. Today, she is revitalizing her artistic practice by writing fiction, documenting her travels, and examining creative placemaking.
