Wednesday, May 27      2:30-3:30 PM

Track:   A&E Districts, Boards of Directors, CAAM

In conversations about racial inclusivity, do you ask yourself, ”How can I be an ally?” Inequality may feel so large and entrenched an issue, that you wonder where to make a dent, and if it’s possible. If you have any doubt that you can make a difference, think of a butterfly and its ability to create entire gardens by first pollinating one flower, then another, and another, until through slow and steady patience, there is a colorful bed of blooms. So, here are concrete, achievable moves you can take to be a part of positive change towards a more inclusive organization, gathered from experiences at the American Visionary Art Museum. These pathways include crossing the digital divide during the stay at home order. Let’s also share with each other your success stories in this interactive session.
