This session will open with an excerpt from Epiphany, featuring real-life stories of individuals whose lives were transformed by art during moments of vulnerability. This reading will lead into a reflective discussion on the role and impact of the arts in participants’ own lives. By the end of the session, participants will collaboratively create a script that weaves together their shared stories and experiences, highlighting the transformative power of the arts.

Kendall Arin: Hailing from Detroit, MI, Kendall Arin is an Alumna of the Duke Ellington School of the Arts and has received her BFA from Point Park University’s Conservatory of Performing Arts. As a multi-hyphenate artist, she seeks to tell stories that reflect society, and evoke change on an emotional and spiritual level. A few highlights in her career as an actress include The Bluest Eye (as Claudia), Uncle Tom’s Cabin as Topsy, and I Know Why the Caged Bird Sings as Young Maya (Prime Stage), Season of Lights (Discovery Theatre), FRESHH Inc’s Next to Kin Festival, Crowns (as Yolanda) at the Creative Cauldron, Anacostia Playhouse’s Black Nativity, and Discovery Theater’s Lions of Adventure (Madame CJ Walker). Her proudest work is the selfproduced one-woman show Epiphany: A Journey to Yes. Some film credits include BET’s Angrily Ever After (Bartender) & Hear Me Say My Name produced by Kelly Gardner. As a poet her thought provoking rhymes and faith based themes have reached audiences across the US, to the UK to Lagos! In 2019 she endeavored on her entrepreneurial journey and launched INFINITELY NATURAL JUICE ADN SMOOTHIES LLC, providing custom juice and smoothies cleanses and promoting a healthy lifestyle with “every good thing.” Her faith and love for people compels her approach to art and entrepreneurship, with community in mind, she always reminds herself – it’s an US thing!
